Hints for Exhibitors: All Exhibits must be in place no later than 11:30 am Friday August 20, 2010.
Entries can be phoned in and tags can be picked up ahead of time. Please call either Chairperson above.
Pick up all flowers after 4:00 pm on Sunday August 22, 2010.
Please note your Prize money can be picked up Saturday 1-5pm and Sunday 1-3pm of the fair at the Fair office. Any unclaimed Prize money will be mailed following the fair.
- Cut flowers in GLASS JARS ONLY Do not use containers of value.
- A stem is a plant structure carrying one or more flower(s) and /or buds.
- A bloom is an individual flower, one to stem.
- A spray is a portion of plant with a number of flowers.
- If a bud is showing colour, it counts as a bloom and it is a good idea to remove it.
- Flowers should be uniform as possible.
- Ideal gladiolus spikes should show 1/3 open bloom, 1/3 bud and 1/3 green.

“Christmas in August” – an arrangement for Christmas on the dining table using fresh flowers, evergreen fillers and other accessories to complement the arrangement.

“Smell & Smile” – an arrangement of fragrant flowers and greens, herbs & spices (ie: cinnamon sticks) may be used to enhance aromas.

- “Firecrackin’ Flowers” – an arrangement of multicoloured bright flowers. Silver, gold, or multicoloured pinwheels along with greens could be used
- “The Best of Both Worlds” – a Hannah Montana inspired arrangement using the best flowers and greens in your garden!
- “Believe” – an arrangement of your favourite flowers using an Olympic theme.
- “Bed Time” – your favourite small stuffed toy holding an arrangement of Pansies.
- “Kooky Kontainers” –A small arrangement in an unusual container.
- “Toys are Us” –a small arrangement in a toy themed container. Or flowers and foliage displayed in a toy
